✅ SOLVED Silver Plated Hook Thingy

A little silver plating left on cast (pewter?)

1-7/8 x 3/4". Finds in area range 1800-1900. Nothing broken.

I think HuntinDog nailed it, but it would make an excellent nose picker.

It's a loop attached to the throatlatch that guides the gag rein.
