Silver Sabre uMax no sound???

Hello everyone, I am new to here as well as the metal detecting hobby. I am trying to figure out why I am getting no sound out of my Silver Sabre uMax. I turned it off and on many times, changed batteries, as well as plugging in headphones. I can't get the thing to make any noise at all, no buzzing, beeping, or anything. Has this ever happened to anyone?

Can I just send it in and get it repaired?

Well if you bought it used that is the problem ..... But it does not matter if you just bought it used.... Or had it for years ...... And it just started acting up........ If it was me i would send it in to Tesoro.....

It was my step dad's dad's. My step dad said it worked as far as he knew when his dad was still alive. I will probably just send it in I guess.

Sounds like you have something wrong with the connection. It's probably not the speaker if the headphones aren't working either. Tesoro will fix it for you, that's the great thing about Tesoro, no matter how old it is, they will fix it. Now, it wasn't originally yours so you may get charged for a repair, but probably not, those guys at Tesoro are ROCKIN, but just be aware that they don't have to honor the warranty if it's second hand, but I don't think i have ever heard anyone getting charged by them for repairs.

Their warranty was a huge reason I decided to get my machines through them, oh and the fact that they consistently find treasure without all the bells and whistles! They are just rock solid machines that do what is advertised. If the other machines were as good, they would stand by their machines with the same warranty, to me that's saying something.
