Love that color in the hole. Too bad it's just plated.

We use utensils that are in great shape for everyday use. Looking down in the hole one would have a bit of a heart throb. Nice one.

In 9 years of running all over northern Illinois I have found one silver spoon. That came this spring in a corn field in my little town. It's old as heck, 1840's, and twisted and looks like crap to be honest!:laughing7: Silver spoons should be on everyone's Bucket List if they aren't already. Darn hard to come by and I've dug a lot of spoons. Cool find just the same plated or any other composition.:icon_thumright:

Anything you pull out of the ground are great finds Electricbutter!

some of the coolest finds have been the old and very soft ornate spoons that have lost their original plating. as soft as some are, made me wonder is it was the plating that made them strong back then

Very well done. 😁 I've pulled two plated ones this year, so far...bent, but both in one piece. My flatware finds are RARELY intact.
