Silver Thimble

Went out for awhile yesterday with not much luck. On the way in I stopped at a crossroads that I always wondered about. It just looked like a place for an old house site. Didn't take long to figure out there had been a lot of dirt work there over the years. I still got pretty lucky though and squeezed out on old sterling silver thimble. It's bent up pretty good but hey I'll take it! Happy hunting and thanks for looking.

Congrats on the silver thimble. How many non-silver ones have you dug? seems like I dug 25-30 non-silver ones before I found my one and only silver one. Nice find!

I have only dug a few myself. If I remember right this is the not silver one I’ve dug.

Nice find! I dug one back in the 80's and really didn't think a lot of it. Now that I have detected for decades, it's still the only silver one I have dug and it gets a little more attention in my treasure pile than it used to.
Grats on a successful hunt!

P.S. Did you see the gold one that was posted not too long ago? It's really sweet.....
