Went freestyling with my friend Earl today and my E-Trac got hot! First I hit a 1943-D Merc at 5 inches. Silver #89 for 2012!
Then a few minutes later I got a solid 12-45 at 7 inches and when I flipped the plug there was a 1923 Merc. Silver #90!
About a half hour later I hit a screaming 12-46 at 3 inches so I knew it was a clad quarter. When I flipped the plug there was nothing to be heard or seen. I dug down to 9 inches and the probe was going crazy but there was nothing.
Then I saw it. A silver rim was sticking out of the side of the hole at 3 inches. A 1943 Washington quarter. Silver #91!
Finally I was working my way back to the truck and I got a solid 12-45 at 7 inches and it was a 1959-D Rosie. Silver #92 for 2012!
I also got 5 Wheaties and two Susan B. Anthony dollar coins in the same hole.
Plus 34 clad coins totaling $4.71 and an old bronze basketball medal the size of a half dollar. What a great day. I love this hobby. Happy hunting to everyone!
