I received my 6 inch coil for my 800 yesterday and will try it out on my trashy park Monday.

I got to thinking about how this six inch coil could be different from the 11 inch coil.

Ok, it will separate better everyone agrees to that I think.

As I have dug many, many plugs in this park I realize this is a 3D world under the surface. It occurred to me that you could possibly get a better tilt angle with a smaller coil and thus maybe hit some hidden rings and coins that are vertical in their orientation to the surface. Can anyone either confirm this or debunk this possible technique?

I can do neither pulltab, I can say though, it will really help when there are more junk targets around the good ones, simply by having a smaller search profile, by not "seeing" as many targets at one time to separate. Many times the stock coils "can" be more of a hindrance then a help.
