Size of rubber screw on switch boots

What size threads are the Tesoro switches?
10mm, 12mm, 3/8, 1/4??

Ive seen it posted but failed searching this morning.

Pinenut and I are working on the issue. I measured my Vaquero frequency switch, it is 1/4". Common switches are 1/4x40.

I've grabbed a handfull of boots off ebay, will know more in a week or two.

Update

First attempt failed. I took a chance on some cheap US boots. Didnt specify size, just said they fit small toggle switches. Well, they're too small, .20" or a hair more than 5mm.

I need .25", don't know if the common 6mm stuff will work or not.

The rubber boot stretches over the paddle nicely though, flexible, dunno how it will work out. It fits snug over the length of the paddle, so you could cut off the tip of the boot and it should stay sealed from dirt.

Well the 6mm boots wont fit, it's got to be 1/4.

That rules all out of the ebay chinese crap, especially the one that says they fit 1/4.

Looking for 1/4 boots at this moment that dont cost more than dinner....

your toggle switch threads may not be the same as the China boot nut. If that's the case, take them apart and just use the boot. If your toggle has a long or flat lever, snip just a bit off the tip off. Then pull the boot over the toggle and over the toggle nut. Bingo, your done.

Get 10 boots for less than two bucks off fleebay (search for "switch boots 6mm) from China, remove nut, sleeve, cut tip, and slip over switch....ymmv

Just seen this in the Cibola Mods regarding the rubber boots as well, protecting your unit from sand, dust and debris, very wise decision for the switches. I imagine this simple modification without open your case does not void your warranty obviously.

If the threads are 1/4", this boot should work. Problem is -, w-shipping, the total cost is about $10!!
