"Skimming" off the silver
I'm developing a technique I call "skimming". There are so many public ball fields with compacted clay in my area, and people use them all the time.
The problem? If it doesn't rain for a long time they're impossible to dig.
The solution? Skimming.
Here's what I found in two hours at a local field today using this technique.

Here's how you do it. Swing wide and slow. Ignore any target deeper than 2" and skip those "hard to find targets". Make a mental note of deeper targets for later (when it finally rains).
I'm only mentioning this in case other members have locations near them like this. Instead of skipping these spots all together, try "skimming" them.
Cheers!
