Skirmish site

Second time hitting up this skirmish site, it’s an intersection. Found what looks to be a deep road bed in the woods at the southern part of this area. There was a three hour battle at the intersection with Sherman’s men and Rebels. This looks to be horse tack, could it be from a Calvary horse? Didn’t know if there was anyway of knowing for sure
