Been a long time since I have been posting. Not hunting much in the last year or so--Moved last year so I guess I need to change my name as well!! LOL

Was hunting with a couple buddies in the Charleston area and got over some really nice finds. Thought I would post for the relic guys!!

Hope to get out a bit more in 2022

Some of us used to dive in Cooper River, upstream about 30 miles from Charleston. About 20 years ago, I had to give up diving, but would go back up there & run the dive boat , since I had a Capt.' license.
I had some friends out on the dive one morning & one of them surfaced soon after he went down. He signaled that he was OK, but needed to come back to the boat. He stuck his hand out & gave me an old Slave Tag that he had found ! It was nearly pristine. He sold it to a buyer for about $3500 , who then sold it for around $7000, if I remember correctly.
This story was online for quite awhile, but not sure, now.
CONGRATULATIONS on the BANNER find.
ALSO, Slave Tags are one of the most reproduced FAKES you will see.

If that could talk it is no telling the stories it would tell.

Great save of the slave tag. A rare find.
