had to go pick my boy up at grandma's house this a.m. and decided to detect the yard for a little while. Hunt yielded a few clad pieces along with a 1922 wheat, 1944P war nickel, silver plate spoon, live 8MM Mauser bullet and a pair of linked metal items that I have no idea what they are.

Realized after posting that 1922 is a key wheat! No d That I can see but date is all but unrecognizable without heavy light and magnification. Regardless a coin I'm happy to find!

Cool on the Silver & Wheat

Interesting "Jewelry ?" (linked metal) Item Would need to see it better, but links like jewelry to me.

Some Nice finds I missed with my Sovereign there :laughing7:

was your dad's BDay today ?
Darn Alzheimers here :tongue3:

Yes, today is dad's b-day!

Cool finds, I dug a 22 plain about 10yrs ago and laid it in my ashtray to keep up with it. totaled it two weeks later, and lost the penny.! It was probably a vf-20 As far as dug coins go. man I hated that!..............HH

nice job Dennis. any time you can go to a place that your uncle has hammered with the old hoover and find something, is a good day.

Nice finds Den!

Dave
