Small aluminum tag

Found a small aluminum tag the other day, not sure what it could have been attached to. It reads first line " RECORD " second line " NUMBER &" third line " DESTROY TAG" fourth line " 3A66"
So all together so it's ez'er to read. " RECORD NUMBER & DESTROY TAG 3A66" all in upper case. Any info would be great. Thanks

I have heard of people who hunt beaches finding something similar when tossing loved ones ashes into the ocean. I'm not say it is at cremation tag. Posting a picture would help.

common with car keys, especially before 1995 when transponder keys started becoming the norm. however, those tags are not limited to just car keys. they would also come with some padlock keys
