Framingham MA. hunting in the woods and came across this piece of brass with a much thinner piece that looks like it fit inside at one time. Any ideas?

Looks to me like an ammo stripper. If so I don't know what it goes to.

Just adding a second voice in confirmation... Nhbenz is correct, it is a 20th-Century repeating-rifle's ammo stripper-clip. Could be tough to figure out specifically which rifle that one is for, because there are so many variations of stripper-clips.
