Hi all, I had a fun hunt today. My first hour was spent raking leaf litter in an area that was unhuntable but I found nothing at all there so I went back the area that I thought I had cleaned out.It was looking bleak for the first half hour.
I thought well maybe there are deeper coins that my machine can't pick up. I dug part of the road bed out and ran the detector over the area and received a signal. About a foot deep I uncovered a 10 coin cache under some rocks . I was pretty stoked and started digging the road out even more.
The total take was 15 and a half coins. They look to be Korean, Japanese and Chinese which is not real unusual since they used each others currency much of the time.
A good mix today. :coffee2: coin.webpcoins.webp

Nice cache! When do you think it dates to?

Cool find! Finding a cache of coins is a great feeling no matter what coins and how old! Congrats!

Nice FINDS!!!

Bird, you are tearing it up over there. I bet you never know what period the coins are without your guide. WTG, Q.

Now I need to get a Japanese and Chinese coin book. It is crazy the different coinage you find over here.

Ha, very cool, good idea on extending the range of your machine. Talk about a gut feeling. Very interesting,

Wow, that's a fantastic find for sure, will make a great display. I have yet to dig up any Asian coins on this side of the planet. WTG.
