Just wanted to know what kind of stuff everyone has been digging with the 5.75 coil on the vaquero? depth and stuff like that,,,, I have not put mine on yet ,, but will soon for sure,, also would like to know when its time to put that small coil on??? whats the clue when its time to switch??,,,,, thanks ,,,,arthur

I been thinking about a 5.75 coil myself. If and when I do get one I'm gonna search a area..20x20 sq ft should do. First I'll use the Stock coil and set the disc to the nickle range. Dig what I can with that set up and when I'm sure nothing can be found I'll switch to the 5.75 and using the same settings see what I missed.

The 5.75 will not get the depth of the stock coil but will cherry pick in trash like you would not believe. Pin pointing with it is a breeze. Once you use it, you will use it more and more. I don't have one for my Vaq. yet, but will soon. I have used it on other Tesoro's and I think it is a must if you have trashy areas to hunt. It will find things the stock coil misses.
Good luck.

artzstuff1,

I would put it this way: If you think or know there are good targets in a particular area, but there is a fair amount of trash a foot or less apart, put the 5.75 concentric coil on. Don't worry about the depth, the 5.75 is close to the stock coil. Joe

JOE(USA) is right. Maybe I should have worded my post differently. The 5.75 is plenty deep enough. As far as trashy areas, I use mine when there is no trash also because it is so much fun and pinpointing is so precise.
