Hi all, Been busy so i,m posting all my gold finds for May in one post. Made quite a few trips out the creeks at the gold site. Most only get a few pieces of gold per trip. the average is about 4 pieces very 3 hours i hunt. Size ranges between .01 of a gram to 1 gram.tried a few changes to the setting on my GPX 4500 but i think after a 15 month learning curve i got a reasonable idea.Been using a 12 inch mono coil mainly but plan too use a DD coil next time i get out.The area i,m hunting was not known for large gold nuggets so it always going to be small pieces a few at a time. Patience is very thing.

Tinpan, how many grams, to date? Getting close to the 1 oz amount?

Nice looking gold! 8)

Tinpan......great hunt. And a bunch of nice finds.
Need some info......what kind of machine are you using? Are you using one of those smaller "gold bug" heads?
Was in an area that is marked "gold/silver" on the older military maps, trying to find any old trail. Found a mine opening
instead. Going to go back and see what we can find, but want to take the right kind of machines.
No sight of any tailings.....and no sign of any kind of washing.....just the mine entrance.
Don't know if we will go back into it or not.......bats, spiders, snakes, and whatever. Almost didn't see it......completely
overgrown. Any help will be appreciated.

Hit it with a flame thrower, or send a small child in first.
