Small Head Bills

I am not a huge note collector, although I do like $2 bills and will stash a silver cert. if I find one. But I see a lot of talk about small head bills which I understand are bills printed before newer ones that had bigger heads. Can someone give me the years when the fathead bills started so I can kind of look for the small heads? Thanks.
