small heart rock

Does any one know if the small heart rocks found just under soil a few inches in clay type soil that points up or down maybe on side have some sort of trap with these types of heart rocks 6 inch by 6 inch in size under soil. MY MXT PRO gives very good reading under heart rock.Thanks for looking all help will be greatfull. the last 3 pics i hit with steel poking rod.

Thanks Backwoods bob for your reply. I am almost sure it was bowside pointing down as for the tip of still rod chiped rock first then sliped downward.
