Small magnifying glass

Found this today in my back yard, it came up as coins and aluminum zinc. Thinking it was another merc, it turned out to be some kind of magnifying glass. Still in good condition too. It looks like it had a handle at one time but must have come off. The magnifying glass is pretty powerful and I will be putting it to some good use. Makes a great tool for coins.

Might be an eyepiece for a telescope or binoculars. How wide is it? If only an inch and a half, that's probably what it was from.

I was thinking about those too, it must of been from something that had a lens. The diameter is about an inch long and has no screw bit.
