I know it might be a fool's errand, but, thought I'd ask anyway.

I have this small button I just found and there's really nothing on the front anymore.
The only thing I have to go on is that the back is stamped "GILT". I know that's common but
I was wondering if any button experts might recognize the design of the way it was stamped.

Just the word GILT and a sort of vine/wreath design.

Just curious and thought maybe the expert researchers might need something to do anyway. ;)

Thanks!

The mid point is circa 1820.
