So i was grocery shopping with my girlfriend and decided to see if the customer service desk had any pennies..she only had two rolls and for the heck of it i asked for nickels too (she only had one roll)..get home and lol scored me a 1943 P with strange die cracking (you will have to see pics to understand) also 2 non key date wheaties so i'd say a winner in every roll lol. Further more does anyone know anything about 1986 and 1988 sideways Denver mark errors? I've noticed in one of my rolls that the Denver marks are really off centered..

Die crack? Also there's a strange square mark..

Take a close look at the D's and how far off the third 88 is from the others.

In my limited experience, OnARoll, that looks like a lamination error to me on the warnic. As far as the listing "D's" go, though, no idea. I'm sure someone will set us straight... And good score in the supermarket, by the way!

Thanks Bad Wolf for your insight, lamination error that's pretty cool, a keeper for sure! Now lets solve the Denver mint mark mystery lol!

The nickel is a lamination, I have a 1958 that has a bigger one. I know that mintmarks used to be hand punched into dies, so someone may have just mispunched it. However, I don't know if that practice was still used when your cents were made.
