Nice one, it's in great shape.
That piggy going to the market?

Nice find, congrats!
At first it looked like you were holding onto that spiny ocotillo, OUCH! But then I saw the detector.

Great detail on that coin :) Glad to see you back out detecting :)

Jorgeke,
You're in the right area; keep swinging.
1846 "Estado Libre de Chihuahua" 1/4 R copper. 26mm.
This coin was illegally struck in Pennsylvania, but (obviously) circulated in Mexico.
Don in SoCal.

Two additional and similar 1/4R coins with the same design exist in higher values.
ESTADO DE CHIHUAHUA (1854-6) and DEPARTMENTO DE CHIHUAHUA (1855).
Keep swinging,
Don in SoCal

A great find - congrats !

Very nice coin, in great shape- Congrats!

Thanks for the post, Jorgeke. I always enjoy seeing your pictures of such a different area and people than we have here in the North. The coin is very nice and having Don provide the details on it, as he usually does, really adds to its interest for me. Otherwise, I would have little idea what it is.
