Went to the shore line of the great salt lake here in Utah. It was just below freezing but I could not stay in the house all weekend. I found lots of modern bullets and one silver ring with a stone in it. Funny thing when I pulled the ring out of the mud and cleaned it with my finger I saw the stone go flying through the air to the ground. I yelled "Noooooo" but I was luck enough to have found it.

Has anyone else ever done that. Find a ring and send its stone flying through the air?

Congrats on the silver!!! I once lived in South Jordan and Herriman UT. You're brave on getting out in the snow there. But then again I was out in our yearly TX ice storm. Couldn't be cooped up for more than 3 days.

Watching YouTube videos on detecting will only cut it for so long lmao!

Any pics on the ring?

Nice little ring, but dang .. that's too cold for my old arthritic bones! Makes 'em hurt just thinking about it!

Congrats on getting out. Found a diamond ring minus the diamond not sure if it was missing before it was lost or not, I searched the dirt but no luck! Now tell me how does one find a diamond with a detector? Lol!
