Snow Melt Hunt

My son and I went for a quick surface hunt before the next storm . The snow line is lower than normal this winter and has our sites covered in spots . We managed a few finds and enjoyed a day in the sun with no wind or other hunters . My sons finds in hand and my slate and basalt finds . The lady bugs were sunning themselves next to the patch of snow trying to thaw out . We finished our day watching a pair of bald eagles chasing ducks on a small lake . All finds private property N. California foothills .
