awww man that sucks i know how u feel i have to pass up alot of stuff due to having a van. i could of had an awning for a mobile home tonite but couldn't fit it in the van not sure if it was steel or alum. but i hated to pass it up.
 

Borrow a truck, I would not heasitate asking my brother if I knew something had good potential as scrap. Might be worth the extra work ;)

Didn't know stainless steel was worth that much. What's the going rate?

aluminum @ .50 per lb
yellow brass @ 1.00 per lb
red brass @ 1.60 per lb
304SS @ 1.00 per lb
316SS @ 1.50 per lb
carbon steel @ .06 per lb
 

whitesid,

get some tie downs and put the thing on the roof of the truck. Most restruant equipment is 316SS! Either that or tie it down on the gate of the truck if you can. Just make sure to put a red flag or rag on the ends. Menards or home cheapo has them for free by their exits.
