You don't have to twist my arm to go out into a field by myself. This weekend got out and had a few nice finds including my first silver of the year, a 1775 Carolus III Half Real

Found a few nice buttons including a floral pattern and a big Tombac and a nice buckle.

This pewter button, I assume its a button, has a post on the back so I guess it was fed through two holes like a cuff link. Hadn't found one like this before.

Sweet Spanish- Congrats!

Very nice.
I'm in Murrells Inlet, but I have never found anything like that. I did, however, just start metal detecting last month. One day, one day!

Congrats. Great recoveries.

Ooh! Sweet find. I think I might need some social distancing too.

Sounds like you could use some more social distancing, huh? Haha. Keep up the good work!

Nice. That buckle looks to be 18th century also.

Nice assortment of relics.

Yes quite nice! Out of the hunted out spot?

Except... he wasn't exactly by himself. I was with him, but while mbcuce was in an open field, digging Spanish silver and enjoying the breeze, I was in the pine woods with the copperheads and ferocious gnats, digging what I thought was Francis Marion's teething cup, which turned out to be a crumpled sugar dish from the 1930's:BangHead:

Yep, same field I've walked a hundred times. I thought, where have I gone over the least and went there.

Now that's a heck of a first silver for the year. Great coin.

Just wondering, when does the site date back to?

Noah_D, we have researched and aren't 100% sure but we think it was mid 1700's to 1822 when it was hit by a hurricane. It was later resettled in a different location.

Sweet! I took inspiration from you today. I found my first large cent!
