How can you tell if they have been drilled? I pick these up all the time, intending to string them up some time, Some have a hole, some don't. Maybe I need to take a closer look at them.

I've done the same thing, I pick'em up just because they're fossils. I'm going back (if I can find them) & take another look at them.
Funny when I was a little kid we would go to the river & my friends & I used to call them Indian beads now I find out some really were!

Drilled ones will have a V shape, with sharp angles. Natural ones will have no v cup in the center, only rounded. Ill try to get some better pics tonight. Look through them, especially if you found close to a indian site. The will have the same v shaped holes as you would find on a piece of drilled pottery, just way smaller.

Sweet. I've never found "for sure" ones, but those obviously are. We used to call crinoids lucky rocks when I was a kid.

k, well i played with some pics which still didnt turn out well, so on the top pic of the two, the furthest top is a naturaL fallen out center, bottom one is a concaved drilled one. now look through yours and see what u got.
