Yesterday's $10 lot produced some unusual stuff -
- 14 shiny, brand new 1964 Canadians that look fresh out of a BU roll. And these came out of a penny machine!
- a 1962 impaired proof Lincoln that has toned to a very light blue green. This is the oldest proof coin I've ever found. Could it be someone broke open a 62 proof set and spent the coins
- a 1958-D wheatie to top everything off.
I'm gonna go back to the same machine, if no one's playing it, and try to get more of those 64s.
Oh, and I got a 1963 $1 bill in change too. Considering the average lifespan of a bill is 18 months it's amazing to find one over 40 years old. It's in great shape too.
Here's a funny side story. While going thru the pennies I was watching South Park on Comedy Central. Every time I found another shiny 64 Canadian I always seemed to hear Cartman screaming about something. So from now on whenever I look at them I'll think of Cartman!
