When I was a kid, I lived in Copperas Cove, Texas. Near our house, down in a valley, was an old post office. There was across the dirt road. It is no longer there now. In the barn, on the ground was this object. My dad seemed to think it could be a tool for wagon wheels. Anybody else know what it might be?

Anybody know if it's worth anything? In the area I found it, it is said that the chisholm trail went through the valley.

I'd say a water valve wrench, would like to see the size comparison, wagon axil about 1 1/4 " so nut would be at least 2"
