found this in my backyard,cant find any pictures anywhere that look the same,the shoes ive seen are all opened at the end this one is closed,anyone have any info about it?

Usually used for a split or damaged hoof...sometimes for frog displacement.

Also shoes are made of rubber or synthetic material usually for parades or for trailering long distances. Some are temporarily laced on.

I am impressed with how much information you have and can dig up in such a short period of time!!! You are really good at id-ing this stuff!

Like most md-ers, I save everything I dig up (except the trash that I can identify, which goes in the garbage can), but I spend alot of time trying to figure what some of these things are. You seem to just have a real knack for getting it narrowed down!!
