I like the Sprite soda. If the white label is intact but just discolored, stick it in a Pringles can and fill the bottle and can with hot water and some oxyclean and it will shine. Don't bother if the white label is chipped off. Works on other painted soda's as well.
As far as the rest, please dispose of properly, imo.

my thoughts are to dig down , you're in a layer of the1950s-60s a foot deeper you may find nothing or maybe some much older bottles. a potato fork is what I like to use in bottle dumps.
