A little video from yesterdays cornfield hunt and todays hunt combined

Was totally bored out of my skull today, the wife had zero on the honey-do list so I hit the old grove again with Will's permission of course (thanks again Will) this spot is insane, its been pounded for a few years by many and still is coughing up the goods! Started slow, with the usual pulltabs and junk then got a nice high tone and popped a 2 wheat spill, I thought ok, lets slow it down a bit more, kept gridding along and my etrac was screaming nickel signal as if it was on the surface or huge and low and behold it was on the surface, a toasted buffalo nickel!, gridded along and got a few clad and 3 more wheats, then got a real iffy/choppy dime signal with some low tones mixed in with it, popped about a 6" plug and got a nice blackened 1928 merc!:headbang: that made my day, I was very happy to squeeze another silver from this spot, and owe Will bigtime!, cant wait to get the guy on some killer old farm sites to get that first LC!

Excellent Chris. After a good find the pressure is off and the rest of the hunt is gravy. Nice saves.

Good job keeping that place alive. I bet Will is shaking his head in amazement that it still gives up silver.

Thanks Dave, gotta work for em though, low and slooooow. How sweet it would've been to be one of the first people to hit that honeyhole!

Thanks CARM, Not my site though, this is Nepa-Will's spot, he has been nice enough to let me amongst others to hunt it now and then

Looks like you had a good hunt today. Love digging coins, and am happy to find the occasional wheat or silver.

Nice save! I think in the last couple trips up there between you and I we dug 14 silvers. What's nice. Is that we are finally getting to the end of the beaver tails. I think all the nickels have been proving that. Now to get to them deeper nickel signals. Or should I say gold rings. Gotta be one in there somewhere.

Thanks Loco, like you said, nothing like digging coins, and a nice old one, well who doesn't love that!

Yeah, it's always nice to be a first on a "honey hole". But, there are few left and they are getting fewer by the day. BUT, there are many, many spots that have been skimmed over or hunted and left. When you hunt these places you learn so much more about your machine! So that, when you do happen upon your own "honey hole", you will do a LOT better with your experience.

Great vid and saves!
