DFX, COMPASS SCANNER,
Found the bronze or brass snake handle letter opener a couple of years ago at a old farm house in Brazito, Mo. The silver plate lion head brooch with the two stones in the eyes and missing larger stone in mouth I found in my yard last March right after I got my dfx, I dug and sifted a two foot area around the place I found it for that missing stone, no luck. My 1910 Barber half dollar I found in a cut trail in a patch of woods a couple blocks from my house a month or so ago. At the end of the year I want take a picture of all my civil war items I have found around here since buying my dfx. Thanks for letting me share my finds with you all, and good luck and HH. JYD.

Great stuff! I found a smaller, brass version of the lion's head, minus the jeweled eyes. Nice seeing his big brother!
