Hello all! Did an all day club hunt today in a historic area. Got some interesting finds. My first good find of the day was the huge flat button. Other finds included a lock, which is in 2 pieces (found separately), a Shreve Crump & Low button (looked this up, theyre the oldest jeweler in the US, started in 1796), a Carhartts button (guessing 1910s?) a 1919 wheatie and other various relics. Also got an ornate little button that cleaned up nice with some aluminum jelly. Man I'm sore, but knowing me Ill be up and doing it again tomorrow! HH!

Love the lock.

Love the lock.

Love these old locks... One guy dug a whole one with an ornate lock cover. Other finds by other members included a South Carolina button, WW1 Engineer tunic pin and an 1899 barber (better finds than mine). Was a fun day!

It was a great day for sure. The comb was the most interesting thing it must be 4 ounces of solid brass. I did think that that button when I first saw it was a George Washington button that would've been nice.
