Mr. Weatherman blew it today. Rain was in the forecast, but it was partly sunny all day. I hit an old mill site today that I hit many times before, but not with the DFX. Overall, it was not a great day, but I did manage to find a silver plated watch back that I almost threw out as trash. Upon closer examination, it has the initials H.B. and some other writing I cant make out.
I also found a silver salt shaker top, a small rosette, a very old domed button, some Wheaties, and the 1859 No Shield Indian Head, which rang in exactly on "pull tab". A bit of advice: If you want to dig the Flying Eagles and early Indian Heads, you need to dig the pull tab signals.
Happy Hunting!
UPDATE: The name engraved on the watch back is "H. Bailey"
