most of the black material is either kanawha flint which is from kanawha county wv, zaleski flint which is from vinton county oh, some coshocton flint, and some hughes river flint which is from ritchie county wv.

thanks man, im thinkin big sandy. it suffered some ancient tip damage and the material isnt the highest quality but still pretty cool

yes looks like a nice big sandy broad base, has it been reworked into a nice halfted scrapper? Terry

Musky,

i would guess coshocton, the middle point in the 4th pic is a good example of kanawha flint. i think the 2nd pic is coshocton flint and if u notice it has a black stripe across the middle of it, that seems to match the material u have. by the way that is a beautiful point. this is just my opinion from the different examples ive found and seen.

Nice points Musky! It amazes me how other then the names, many of the point shapes/styles are virually the same up and down the eastern seaboard!
