I had the "need" to take a couple of trips to my old home town, visiting my favorite "Seated" park once and another old favorite park the other time. Found all of these coins in areas I'd gone over previously, usually with a rusty nail or something similiar in the hole.

The 1911-D Barber quarter is a low-mintage date and worth a premium, except for the fact that it was in a very rocky area near a road and only an inch or so down, so I foolishly used no caution whatsoever in digging it up and scratched the you know what out of it- damn!

Also found 2 Indians in one hole, which were stuck together. They were so heavily corroded that I couldn't get a date off either one. I'm going to try a couple of things to see if I can at least get a date. Found a few older wheats too, including a 1909. If I can get any of them to a condition where I can get a good pic, I'll post them.

Enjoy the pics and HH All!

Slowing down and checking those iffy hits is killer !!! Nice haul from your "seated" park. I need to find one of those parks in PA.

Great collection of silver! Best of luck from a fellow MA MD 'er!

Nice haul from favorite parks! :headbang: Now, about that scratched Barber..... put her back underground for another 100 years to let earth's seasons alter and obscure the harshness, then pull her out again. Maybe a great-great grandson or g-g-granddaughter can take care of the unearthing part, lol! :tongue3: Have fun on your beautiful coast! :cat:Andi
