I searched the net and found one that kind of looks like your pistol - take a look at one I found on EBay Hubley 1955-60 Cowboy Jr. Toy Cap Gun...

This looks more like it, Both got the same marking and wording "TEXAN JR" .. seen on ebay dates 1940s... Thanks for the info...
