I took Friday off after having to put dog to sleep the day before. I just needed some time to myself.

I went to a park that is known for colonial finds. I didn't find anything colonial, but I did find (along with assorted trash) a zipper tag, 27 cents, a Chuckee Cheese token, a plated shamrock (Tara), and a .925 silver ring, two stones that look to be turquoise, and it's stamped TF-83. 3.2g total weight.

Sorry about the dog. Congrats on the ring.

Condolences on your friend. Congrats on your finds

I'm sorry to hear about your dog. Good job getting out by yourself for a little while and nice finds.

Sorry about your dog, I'm sure the time out detecting was good for you. The turquoise ring is a nice little find.

So sorry about your dog. I had to put one of mine down last year. Such a sad day. I did the exact same thing though. Took a day off to clear my head, get out, swing the coil and spend some time by myself out in nature with peace and quiet. It gets easier man. Congrats on the digs bud

Sorry to hear about your dog. The ring is way cool.

Sorry about your dog.

It's good you got out.
Looks like you brought home some silver! Congrats!

I know I think of "Rap" almost everyday. You are alive as long as you're remembered. Our dog lives on, in our memories. I was emotionally affected for a couple weeks after we had to put him to sleep. My heart goes out to you. Many of us know exactly how you feel. I wasn't into detecting back then, I think if I was , I'd have done just as you. Sorry for your loss.

Congrats on getting out and pulling some good targets. Seeing that ring in the dirt would have made me smile.

Sorry to hear of your loss. Sometimes swinging for a bit can make you feel a little better, congratulations on the finds!

Sorry about your dog

So sorry to hear about your true friend. Mine is getting older and I hate to see that day come when I lose him. Hang in there and good luck to you in all your hunts!!

Losing a four legged friend is hard enough, but when you have to decide it is best for them to be put down it is doubly hard. I have a cat that is 19 years old with growths on his liver. The vet says no pain, but his weight loss is getting to the serious level and I know it will not be long before I have to face that decision. I hope you can use your MDing as a distraction.

Sorry about your loss

Thanks all. It's my second time needing to make that decision (I still have two dogs). It doesn't get any easier. We brought her home last night.

Time alone does help. That was only my second time out this year in the dirt. Hunting the sand will be a little harder since the beach was her favorite place.

Dogs aren't your whole life, but they make your life whole.
