I had to tow my boat down to my Dad's house for the winter this weekend. (free up some garage space for me!!!) lol It just so happens that I had to drive right through a good relic detecting area. So I got up at 4 am so I could meet Scott and Greg to hit it right at daybreak. I did OK, really starting to figure the F75 out some. Right as I decided I needed to get to my Dad's I found 3 bullets in 5 feet. :) Still having trouble pinpointing but I found a few small pieces of lead at around 9 to 10 inches! So here they are, some pretty chewed up bullets but still worth getting up a 4 am any day. Had a great time with some great hunters. Scott found a productive spot and practically begged us to come over and help him clean up!

nice diggs oberkill cant wait to get out and hunt again. that spot has produced some really great finds in the past and there should be allot more to come in the future

Good hunting with you Alan and some great finds also. What a machine......any detector that will pick up a BB size piece of lead at 10 inches is good......lol. Hope we can do it again sometime.........HH......greg

Sounds like you guys had a good day hunting.
Congratulations on a great hunt.

Alan,

Had a great time with you and Greg. I think we did well that day. Really didn't get a chance to see your finds too closely before you took off. Those are nice. Especially the 2 ring .69. From what I've been told those are no too common and are called .69 Musketoons. They were Union bullets used early in the war. Nice digs my friend. Sound like we'll be there again within a couple weeks yeah?????

Take care,

Scott

you guys did real good,congrats

John,

Look at Greg's post.....These guys are thinking about putting me in a hole or shoveling me to death!!!!! The invite next time may consist of different hunting buddies!!!!!! LOL!!!!!

Scott

Next time I'm detecting with a large stick!!!! Shovel and DFX stay home. I'll go just for moral support. Or how bout I just volunteer to dig for you guys. Ha, ha!!!!! Anything to stay safe is my motto. I'd probably have a better chance of staying alive if I hunt with mastereagle and baldingboy. At least the thugs turn and walk away and they don't carry shovels!!!!!!

LOL!!!!!!!!!!

Not sure if you will be safer with them or not. Have you seen how mastereagle drives???? :)

Alan

Sounds like that was a fun trip and even some goodies to show for it too.

Way to go!
