Metal Detecting
I flew over to the east coast to attend a family wedding so I had 5 hours to kill and get in a little metal detecting. I found this park in a small Pennsylvania town and gave it a try. After swinging the cool for 5 hours all I had was 3 old nickels, a Indian Head penny, and a silver nickel. The lack of high tone coins and the more than normal of old nickels showed me that someone cherry picked all the high tone dimes and quarters and left me the nickels.

With nickels gold may be hiding. Keep up the nickel hunt.

Congrats. Was you using a cz because they sure like the nickels.
Nice!!!! Congrats!!!! I’ll take those Old Nickels and Injuns any Day!! Great job on getting out what they missed/left!! Congrats!!!

That's a great haul for a hunted park, congrats!
I always get very excited when I hunt a spot where they missed the nickels. I've found gold rings more than once in such spots.

I went it behind a cherry picker once and pulled a $1,500 gold and diamond ring about 2 inches from where he had just dug an old coin. (He was discriminating out pulltabs, nickles and everything below that.)

I agree, I find sites like that a lot, with nickels

Strong work! Cherry-pickers are not digging gold, nickels and C/N Indians, to name just a few.
