I haven't been able to post for a bit cuz I had to sleep in my car for about a week.
You see, I couldn't find Blingie his price of admission, so, he wouldn't let me back in the house. :dontknow:

Anyway, I finally found a minimal piece of a passport today. ;)

The Franc is a bizarre find... but a keeper for sure!
Nice to see Blingie, Fishy, and your finds.

Yeah, the 2 Franc was almost an eyeball find. Has to be a fresh drop of someone's lucky piece or maybe a show & tell piece that got away.
It's what keeps bringing me back, never knowing what the next one is going to be. :)

Thanks!

Neat finds, what happened to the clipped OD nickel?

That war nickle was found quite a while ago. It came that way. I suppose it met with either a lawnmower or maybe some digger. ;)
Funny what one can find, huh. :)

The clipped OD nickel is sweet. Glad to see that you have been out hunting! Best of luck!

Being that OD nickel was clipped does it mean it is now a Od nickel . :laughing7:

I dunno, but actually there is a funny story that goes with that find.

I was out hunting with a friend and we were playing the game "call your shots" before we dug. (Remember, back then, we only had the difference in sound and maybe an analog meter to determine things. We had rudimentary discrimination but that was just to eliminate iron.)

Anyway, I digress. I got this hit down about 6 inches on the Groundhog and trying to figure out what it was. My friend said it was a pulltab, no doubt. I said no, it's stranger than that, it sort of sounds like nickel but not quite. Better than a tab, not as good as a nickel, even seemed smaller, somehow. I actually said, "Ya know, the only way I can describe the hit is that it sounds like half a hit."

We both laughed right out loud, after I dug, for about 10 minutes. LOL

AAAhhhhhh........memories!
