Sorted out pocket change from the year.

I went through my stash of 2024 pocket change. Found just a few odd/old ones to put aside. No silver or anything of value, just some -82's. Rolled up most at $55, going back into circulation next trip to the bank.


These old pennies had been bouncing around circulation a long time. That one was almost struck off center.

I like that idea. Yeah some of those zincolns look like they'd been in acid, some a ghostly sheetrock white, some shiny like new after 40 years. We should just drop the penny and quit wasting money producing them.

I just took my coins that I found detecting to the bank this morning. I'm heading to a coin show in 2 weeks. I've been collecting them since they first came out. Ordered another 2025 MS70 on the way now. This slab had a little scratch so they are replacing it.

That's a ridge ring, it's a common form of die deterioration on the zinc cents.
