So I always hear about sugar cane fields in Louisiana as a very productive site. Do you guys think I may be able to have luck in freshly plowed soy bean fields that's close to the cane fields? Just wondering as I haven't had the opportunity to hit the cane fields. Some insight or feedback please! Thnx guys

Any field can be productive, check as many old maps of the area you can find, there may have been a home site there at one time.

Just as Nola Ken stated, any type of land could potentially be a treasure trove of finds waiting to be found. However, it pays to do your homework and research old maps, the internet, look for indications of old homesteads, campsites or picnic areas from back in the day, etc. But there are times when you might just get lucky and find something extraordinary out of the blue! Good luck!
