Spanish Markings on Sivler bars

Hi all... am new to all this fun treasure stuff.

I have a friend who has found some silver bars, which he says are stamped with Carlos V marks. I've tried to look these markings up, but haven't had any luck. Is there a marking from Carlos V? I am hoping to actually see the silver bars in the next few days, so that I may get a picture of them. Any help or information would be great.
