Got out to an early cellar hole for a few hours today. I had found this site a few months ago on a scouting mission and only spent an hour in there before I went looking for the next one. I spent about 3 hours today with not much to show but did get a few nice finds. 1801 half reale Mexico. My second for the year. Actually second since I started detecting 3 years ago. Also grabbed another fugio for the year along with a connecticut copper a few buttons and some rusty relics. Too bad the fugio is in such bad shape but I was still happy with it. I have been obsessed with Spanish silver this year so I was pretty stoked when it was the first signal I dug. Hopefully ill find the other cellar holes up there and have some more to show. It's a tough hike so it won't be tomorrow. Laughing. Happy hunting.

Congrats on a great hunt! Would like to find a fugio in any condition. Nice silver also!

Wow! Awesome finds. :notworthy: Still looking for that elusive Fugio myself. Congrats!

It was a good day out for you, nice going on the coppers and the silver. That's an interesting button RC & Co?
The heart heel protector is a cool find also.

Its not a button. It looks like a saw nut but could be a rivet or something of that sort.

Looks a little small to be a saw medallion but it could be I guess. Great job on the silver and coppers. You probably dug a whole bunch of junk too but that's a good coin to other stuff ratio you have there. hopefully you can find more cellar holes and more silver!

Not too much junk. It's in the middle of nowhere so nothing too modern and the junk I did dig was like old chains and broken flatware. That's the kind of site I like. Those fields are tough but I see why you guys work them. Done a few myself with nothing outstanding but some good finds. Lots of modern trash drives me crazy.

I meant there wasn't many finds. Place was a little quiet. That's a nice heel plate with the decoration.

WOW, I'd be doing back flips (believe me that would be quite a feat) sounds like a very nice day in the woods and good exercise! I bet the scenery is beautiful with the leaves turning.

Great finds and great work finding those cellar holes!

It's was a very nice day. The leaves are already on the ground up in the hills but the ground looks cool. The problem with these sites is getting worn out on the hike and not being able to spend as much time detecting as I would like. Also seen about 50 turkeys.

I love the site that have a good keeper to tras ratio. It's a good feeling when you get a solid signal and can be almost sure it's gonna be a keeper
