I've searched the farm's property so much that I'm never expecting to find anything of interest which is what makes it so much more ridiculous when I do. Just killing time, the first target I dug was a slick 1700's large copper which is weird to begin with, but then only a few steps away the second target turns out to be a 1781 1/2 real! This is the very first old silver on this property too, and it was 3 inches from the surface in a spot I considered fruitless since they dug it up for the leaching field.

My guess is that this and the few other relics just happened to be left near the surface when the filled it back in. I also found this cool brass jungle bell and this copper pocket watch that was very deep.

The mystery pieces I found months back and I've been scratching my head over them ever since. The plows broke them up and spread the four pieces over a good sized area.

My eureka moment came very randomly when one of the little kids on the farm was grooming Opal, the pony. She must have gone digging in one of the super old tack kits, but she was using the most antiquated curry comb.

Glad she did though; I recognized it in and instant! I guess the brass teeth were riveted to an iron back and over the years the iron fragmented away leaving just these. I hope this helps anyone else out there who has bits and pieces of these combs in their mystery buckets.
Here's one from google that's an even closer style.
