BLOOMINGTON, Ill. (AP) -- Sparkly reindeer-dung necklaces are going on sale at an Illinois zoo that hopes to attract the same holiday shoppers who swept up its dung Christmas ornaments last year.

The limited-edition Magical Reindeer Gem necklaces will debut Friday at the Miller Park Zoo in Bloomington.

Back in the mid-1970s you could buy moose "nugget" jewelry items in Fairbanks, Alaska, at souvenir counters. I thought they were funny as h---; being so small and the moose being so BIG. Well, the first time I was out in the bush and spotted a pile of moose leavings, I saw they were for real. Nuggets were about 1 inch in length, left in piles about a foot tall.

So those raindeer folks are a few years late; but, what the heck. I wish them good luck in their endeavors. ;D
