I spoke to my the lady I know who works with the county Special Olympics and I was right they do give a new medal to people who loose them. She also said they could reuse the medals I found if they are in good shape. They are in excellent shape except for the rings that hold the medal on the ribbon and that is easily replaced. So today I dropped them off and they will be reused so another person with personal challenges will have a reward for their hard work in the Olympics.

Thanks for looking and may your coil lead you to good things.

I agree this should get an honorable mention.

Very nice! Honorable mention!

This post is amazing. Thank you!

Very Nice!!! Good job!!!

Having worked and played with Special Olympians for 40 years, I can tell you, these medals are more precious than gold to the olympians and their families! There is nothing like the sound of Saturday night dinner as so many olympians proudly wear their medals that clang together as they walk about the dinner hall! That was nice of you to return them to be earned and worn proudly!

BTW The olympic oath is “Let me win, but if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt!

congratulations on a successful return, Honorable Mention

Congrats for doing the right and honorable thing.

Thanks to you all for the kind words. Just trying to do the right thing. In my almost 69 years I have know and worked with some special people. They deal with challenges every day just doing what we do without thinking. Anything I can do to make that easier or put a little joy in their lives is well worth the effort.

If you have never tracked down the owner to a find and returned it you are missing a great feeling.

Thanks for looking and keep swingin.
