It is capable of 12", I have dug both quarters and dimes at 12". Altogether I would say at least 4 quarters and 2 dimes

I have dug some items with the 600 that I didn't think were possible for the depth. Little wispy beeps in non-ferrous numbers, and then chased down deep in the ground. Got my first Kennedy half at least 13" down.
